Austin Startups in CNBC’s Limelight

CNBC is shining the spotlight on four Austin-based companies as part of its Upstart 100, which seeks to bring attention to businesses that are “building brands and breaking industry barriers on the path to becoming tomorrow’s household names.” On the new list, released Oct. 9:

  •, the social network for sharing data led by CEO Brett Hurt
  • Hypergiant, which creates artificial intelligence programs for big brands
  • JASK, which uses AI to protect a company’s IT networks
  • RigUp, maker of a platform for connecting contractors and service providers in the oil patch.
