“A San Francisco-based cybersecurity startup is opening an office in Austin, where it plans to hire as many as 50 people.
Jask develops software that helps security analysts do their jobs by using artificial intelligence to monitor the network.
“A lot of different areas have tried to replicate Silicon Valley,” said Jask CEO Greg Martin in a telephone interview. “What we believe Austin, Texas has going for it is a young culture, a fast-growing city, and, quite frankly, a lower cost of living than the San Francisco Bay area.”’
